About the Devonport Stamp Club

Located on the NW Coast of Tasmania, the Devonport Stamp Club caters to all interests, from basic stamp collecting to serious philately.

Some of our members’ collecting interests currently include specific countries and time periods, mini-sheets, covers, cinderellas, militaria, post cards, and historical documents.

Activities

Regular discussions include topics such as contemporary philatelic developments and facts, arranging and preserving collections, identification of unusual stamps, selection and use of equipment, purchasing and marketing of items.  Experienced and junior members work together to make each meeting a relaxed and enjoyable evening.

Each meeting usually includes an auction allowing the opportunity to buy and sell items.

“Stamps on Sunday” informal meetings are held from time to time.

Devonport Stamp and Militaria Fair

There are three Market days each year in Devonport. These are open to all. Stamps, postcards, militaria and related items are on sale. See http://devstampclub.org/ for details.

Location

MEETINGS: St Johns Anglican Church Meeting Room Fenton Street Devonport (Directly opposite the Gateway Hotel.)

Meetings held on the 3rd Monday of the month, except April, which is the 4th Monday, and December the 2nd Monday. Meetings start at 7 pm.
